Vocabulary Word of the Day: Inspiration

While watching Fantasia Barrino tonight on American Idol, the word inspiration came to me. Inspiration is described as an agency, such as a person or work of art that moves the intellect or emotions or prompts action or invention. (American Heritage Dictionary) I make it a point to regularly discuss inspiration to my kids. I want to know what fuels their passions. I want them to know what fuels my passions. Celebrity Relationships and Babies – Oh My!

On again, off again couple Bristol Palin and her baby daddy Levi Johnston didn’t please their families when they recently announced they were getting back together and were engaged. Well, with like many young couples, the families only had to wait it out. Bristol and Levi have called off their second engagement, with Levi claiming they separated as friends. Reader’s Digest Magazine has been around much longer than I have and plays a part in my earliest memories. First published in 1922 by husband and wife team DeWitt and Lila Wallace, only five thousand copies were made in that first run. But only a decade later, Reader’s Digest became the most popular magazine in the United States. Soon the magazine reached worldwide status as well.
