It has Been a Great 7 Months

As agonizing a decision it was to make, I have decided to give up my spot here as main homeschool blogger for families.com. The time has come to move on to other endeavors. I hope in my time here that I have provided users with information that would enrich your homeschooling journey. I also hope to have represented homeschooling well.

I plan to not go away completely, but instead to remain a member of families.com and keep up a personal blog as well as remain active in the forums. So watch out for me. I can also be found writing online on various subjects. Just Google my membername (ahermitt) and you will find me. I also have a website with the same name.

If you are looking to homeschool your kids, remember you are not alone. Once you join the ranks of the homeschool community, you are officially a member of a very large extended family. We are here to help you.

If you are homeschooling your kids, and you need to be told that you are not crazy, remember, that another homeschooler in the same situation as you is available through your local homeschool Co-op or support group. You are indeed not alone.

Just because I am leaving, does not mean the families.com homeschooling blog will not still be here. Stop by anytime, families.com hires awesome bloggers with experience and resources to get you all the information you need to continue on your homeschooling journey.

On those days when you are tired of going against the grain and feel like giving up, always remember that you are homeschooling to help your children reach their best potential. That by homeschooling, you are not trying to please anyone, and even make yourself feel special, but instead to provide a great education and experiences for your children.
