Welcome to another edition of homeschooling resource of the day. As always, if you see something you want changed, you have something you would like added, or know of something that should be featured please feel free to leave me a comment.

Today's website is Ambleside Online. Ambleside Online is a complete online curriculum that is absolutely free. It follows the Charlotte Mason theory of homeschooling. This curriculum goes from year 0 all the way to year 12. They try to keep the curriculum as close as possible to the curriculum that Charlotte Mason used in her own schools. Some of the books used are even available for free online.

Word of the day: palindrome \PAL-in-drohm\, noun: A word, phrase, sentence, or verse that reads the same backward or forward.

Today's homeschooling book of the day is Charlotte Mason's Original Homeschooling Series. All of Charlotte Mason's works in one book, volume 1 (one) through 6 (six). Volume one starts with the younger ages, while volume three deals with ages nine through twelve. There is also a volume written to children on morals and character. I believe it is very important to read all of her books, as each one contains so much valuable information in and of itself. There were also forty years of work, experience, and trial and error between volume one and volume six.

Journal Prompt: What does "Treat others as you would like to be treated," mean to you? Why is this a good rule to live by?
