It is important to join a homeschool network or support group in your area, There are also many homeschooling groups as well as many homeschooling classes, and programs that your students can enjoy. In this series, we are covering home schooling groups and resources across the country. This installment is for the State of Hawaii. Big Island Homeschoolers Is a support group for homeschooling families on the Big Island of Hawaii. Catholic Homeschooling in Hawaii/Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Homeschoolers of Hawaii is the website for Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Homeschoolers of Hawaii. There is a free online newsletter, monthly meetings, information about Hawaii, and more. Christian Home Educators of Kona Is a Christian group but is respectful to the beliefs of others. Christian Homeschoolers of Hawaii (CHOH)works to share information regarding homeschooling from a Christ-centered perspective and provide support for homeschooling families. Hawaii Homeschool Association, is an inclusive support group of homeschooling families on Oahu. HHA enables its members to share homeschooling ideas and experiences and to disseminate information relevant to homeschoolers on Oahu. HHA itself does not organize or sponsor any classes, events, field trips, etc., but HHA members are encouraged to organize such activities and share them with other members of the group through the HHA website and bulletin board in order to provide educational opportunities for their children and opportunities for members to share their homeschooling experiences, participate in group activities, and socialize with one another. Hawaiian Grace Homeschool Support is a Christian Homeschool Support Group dedicated to serving God and seeking His guidance in all that we attempt through prayer and reading of God's Word. The group is primarily composed of military families residing on or near Schofield Barracks, HI. Maui Homeschool Events is a resource to homeschooling families. This in an online email loop with opportunities for socializing and activities. Maui Homeschoolers is a group for homeschooling families on Maui and those homeschoolers that are visiting Maui---for Field Trips, Park/beach days, classes, cultural exchange etc. Military Home Educators Network-Oahu (MHEN-Oahu) is a Christian support group of military home schoolers from all across the Island of Oahu, Hawaii. Offers monthly meetings at Hickam Air Force Base. Navy Home School Group - Hawaii A home school group for Hawaii Navy families in Oahu that provides support for field trips coordinated by members, networking opportunities, community service projects, idea sharing, and physical fitness support. Teen Homeschool Events Club is group of homeschooled teens and their families based on Oahu, Hawaii for the sole purpose of joining in excursions, field trips, and activities together. Join "THE Club" to receive information on upcoming activities and come to the events of your choosing.
