Pagan Homeschooling by Kristin Madden (Paperback - Oct 2002)

And they say Homeschooling is strictly for Christians! The mere existence of this book proves otherwise. While this book is not necessarily on my 'must read" list, I believe that there are a number of people (probably pagan) who would like to know that it exists. So, if you are a pagan, who needs homeschooling advice, or considering homeschooling, purchase this book.

Real Lives: Eleven Teenagers Who Don't Go to School Tell Their Own Stories by Grace Llewellyn (Paperback - Jul 1, 2005)

This first hand account to homeschooling provided in this book will help you to see that you can do the unimaginable. If you have a teen who wants to homeschool, you should read this book. Grace Llewellyn, is a strong force in in the unschooling of upper grade children.

Real-Life Homeschooling: The Stories of 21 Families Who Teach Their Children at Home by Rhonda Barfield (Paperback - April 2, 2002)

This book also tells the real life stories of homeschoolers. You can never have too much 'inside information'. This is an inspiring book that will give you ideas about your own homeschool.

Relaxed Homeschooling, by Mary Pride. If you can get your hands on this book, I highly recommend it. Mary pride also wrote the Homeschooling Handbook, but it was relaxed homeschooling that helped me get over my quotas and charts and allow the kids to learn.

Recovering the Lost Tools of Learning: An Approach to Distinctively Christian Education (Turning Point Christian Worldview Series) 1 by Douglas Wilson and Marvin Olasky (Paperback - April 1, 1991)

This book promotes a back to basics approach for homeschooling, Classical education. The book talks about why schools fail, and what can be done to create a quality education.
