Easy Low Cost First Year Curriculums

I have been reading the inquiries of new homeschoolers who are finding themselves spending many hours each night preparing for the next days lessons. While some people really enjoy the process of preparing lessons, for new homeschoolers, this process can be very overwhelming. It does not need to be.

When we embarked upon our first year as homeschoolers my main goal was to keep things simple so I could take my time learning more about homeschooling. I did not know if I wanted to write my own curriculum. I did not know if I wanted to follow a curriculum in a box. I did not know how much work I had to do to prepare my kids' lessons before hand. I did know that I needed an easy start to homeschooling.

As I mentioned before, the most important advice I was ever given when I started homeschooling was to spend as little money as possible on homeschooling. This is because most first year homeschoolers hate their first curriculum, and it is no wonder as that curriculum is often chosen from the advice of other homeschoolers with different kids and different personalities. It really does take a great deal of time and thought in choosing a curriculum.

In the meantime, however, you still need to homeschool your kids. For beginning homeschoolers, my suggestion to you is to go to the internet for a ready, set, go curriculum. Here are some that you may want to look at:
