Homeschool Q & A: Homeschooling for Senior Year in High School

I recently received the following question by email: I am going to be a Senior in High School. I don’t want to go back to high school because I am having a bad experience and I have had enough. Both my parents work and I was wondering if someone else can homeschool me and if you know any websites that can help me find a person who homeschools. Here are some other questions: How many hours a day is homeschool? How do I know what subjects I am going to take? How long are my breaks (Christmas and Easter)? Do … Continue reading

Getting a Late Start on Homeschooling

A great many homeschoolers these days began their education in traditional (public or private) schools and then moved to homeschooling out of frustration from school issues. Meanwhile, here is the glossary for the homeschool distance learning programs. 3D Learner 3DLearn Interactive Academy Abacus Educational Services Accelerated … Continue reading

I plan to list homeschool classes in your neck of the woods as well. The reason I am doing this is because I realize that thousands, and possibly even tens of thousands of new families have decided that they will begin homeschooling in the fall. I want you to be prepared. In addition to pouring over the hundreds of … Continue reading

Last week on the Families.com Homeschooling Blog, the main topic of conversation was homeschool “schools” and the emergence of Hybrid Homeschooling. We also discussed whether or not parents are qualified to teach their own kids, thanks to yet another homeschool mom grilling. Will people ever stop putting homeschoolers in a position to defend themselves? Here is the Homeschooling week in review June 25, 2007 – June 30, 2007. 25 Jun 2007 Homeschooling Week in Review June 16, 2007 – June 23, 2007 by Andrea Hermitt Last week on the families.com homeschooling blog, I finished my compilation of books homeschooling parents … Continue reading
