Garlic Press Curriculum

You just have to love a publishing company that names itself “Garlic Press.” I was inclined to like this series of books for that alone. Then I opened the books, and liked them even better. Garlic Press publishes books that cover a huge range of topics. I was first introduced to their Straight Forward Math series. I appreciated how they covered each topic sufficiently without moving on too quickly, and without beating the horse to death. Comprehensive Curriculum Books by American Education Publishing

A lot of people ask me what curriculum I use to teach my children, and I honestly tell them that I’m very eclectic. One day, we might spend all our time on one subject and never make it around to the others. Sometimes I go all Martha Stewart and we do crafts. Some days we unschool. You see it wherever you go. It is a sad sight to behold. Homeschooling moms walking slowly slumped with aching backs as they drag their chains connected to heavy books on one hand and their children on the other.
