New Homeschool Curriculum for Writing: Time4Writing

It is no secret that Time4Learning has been one of my favorite online curriculums for elementary school students. I liked it because it is interactive and teaches language arts, math, science, and social studies to pre-kindergarten through middle school children.

I just found out about a new website for homeschoolers called Homeschoolviewtube.com. It is a cross between Youtube, Facebook, and MySpace for homeschoolers. It is a social network, a video uploading site, and a place for homeschooling parents to connect, face to face ...kind of.

I stumbled across mention of this site while reading a teachers blog. The teacher was struggling with getting kids to read Shakespeare and was also dealing with the fact that a previous teacher had given students "American Shakespeare" because original Shakespeare was "stupid".

Businesses love to support teachers. Especially businesses whose products might appeal to teachers. Giving them a discount means they'll come back again, and again, and again. Barnes and Noble, Staples and Lakeshore Learning are just a few in my area that support teachers. . .and homeschoolers.
